Germany (28.10.06) – COMO took the European market by storm at Orgatec, the world’s largest trade

fair for office furniture in Cologne.

From 24-28 October, more than 50,000 visitors drew to Bristol’s booth and witnessed its latest

attraction, the COMO desking system. Nearly 50% of visitors hailed from outside Germany.

During the five-day event, the success of COMO was marked with the outright sale of all the display

mock-ups to major European companies from countries such as UK, Spain, France and Poland.

Negotiations are currently under way between Bristol and interested parties to represent COMO in the European market.

Managing Director of Bristol Technologies, Mr. Yong Yook Seng said COMO is designed to facilitate

changes in the modern workspace with offices being increasingly transformed into open-space

and communication-intensive working environments.

 “Our clients are drawn to the innovative design with simplicity at its best. COMO will appeal

to organisations that are increasingly design-conscious and appreciate lifestyle elements in the

workplace. COMO offers creative solutions to modern organisations which are moving away from

traditional panel systems,” said Yong.

Yong emphasised on COMO offering data and power management with its easy plug and play

applications. It is an intelligent system where power management is intelligently placed and

can be extended in ways of engineering. With three years spent on research and development,

COMO’s support technology was built-in, not an afterthought.

Bristol with COMO is listed in the hit guide of Orgatec 2006 amongst leading manufacturers making a

debut with new office furniture product lines.

“With the recognition of COMO in Europe, Bristol has set new heights in bringing international appeal

to a high-performance desking system,” he added.

This year over 800 exhibitors showcased their wares at Orgatec, the bi-annual office and facility

tradeshow which draws an international roster of investors, operators, architects and planners. The

event plays a role as trendsetter in the office furniture industry whose impact extends far beyond the

limited circle of office furnishers and facility designers.
